This pen has been built under strict culling protocols, with only the top-performing bulls advancing to sale day. Each has been evaluated through in-herd indexing for growth, fertility, structure, efficiency, and disposition — all under the same real-world conditions. The result is a set of bulls that combine genetic quality with verified performance. We want to eliminate embellishments and opinions; and let the numbers speak for themselves. Every year we offer our entire crop of select bull calves for sale. We sell select Angus females at Canadian Red Roundup and others at Hereford Season Finale, plus we keep over and breed a select group of replacements from our commercial cow herd to sell as a group in the fall. We have a wide variety of Yearlings and Two Year Olds available, and we can assure customers that the Two Year Old pen is not made of 'leftovers'. We hand pick out of the yearling pen each season to put together an aged group of bulls that is as loaded with quality as the group of young bulls are. Additionally, for every purebred bull calf that makes the pen, we have steered two more. We have eliminated the second and third cuts, and we have left testicles in only the best bulls. Culling is an ongoing process, and at any point if the bull has a lapse in quality or in performance, he is brought out.
